How
to Get Involved Step
One: Look through our Available Volunteer Opportunities Take
a look at some of the positions that we have currently available. If
there is something on this list that you are interested in, then we will try
to link you with that position. If there isn't anything in this list that you
are interested in, than think about what you would like to do and we will try
our best to try to find or create a position specifically for you. Step
Two: Fill out a Volunteer Profile Form Tell
us a bit about yourself and provide your contact information. Tell us
which of the available positions you are interested in or describe what you
would like to do instead. We will use this information to match you with a current
position or find/create a more suitable position specific to your needs and
interests. Step
Three: Making the Connection After
you submit your Volunteer Profile Form, you will receive an email or phone call
from the Volunteer Coordinator to confirm your volunteer position and/or to
further discuss your interests. Once
a position is determined, you will receive a Volunteer
Project Charter from the volunteer coordinator. The charter will contain
details on the expectations and content of the volunteer position. You will
then need to respond by completing the charter with a description of your actions,
effort and recognition expectations. In other words, your volunteer position
is a collaborative role and the volunteer work that you will do will be determined
jointly between you and the Volunteer Coordinator. Note:
our volunteer positions are a minimum of 3 months in duration (see
Earning PDUs).
